Want to Know

Single rooms typically cost $300–$600 for walls only, or $600–$1,200 including ceiling and trim. Whole-house interiors range from $2,500–$6,000+ depending on size and scope. We provide a detailed written estimate with three Sherwin-Williams paint package options so you can compare.
Bundle multiple rooms for better per-room pricing.
No. We move all furniture to the center of the room and cover everything with clean drop cloths. Just remove small personal items and fragile decor before we arrive. We do a full cleanup every day — your home stays livable during the project.
If you have extremely heavy or delicate furniture, let us know in advance and we’ll plan accordingly.
Flat for ceilings and low-traffic areas. Eggshell for bedrooms and living rooms. Satin for kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways. Semi-gloss for trim, doors, and cabinets. We help you pick the right sheen for every surface during your free color consultation.
Satin is the most versatile — easy to clean, subtle sheen, works almost everywhere.
Always two full coats minimum on every surface. If we’re making a dramatic color change (light to dark or dark to light), we may apply a tinted primer plus two topcoats. We never cut corners by doing one coat and calling it done.
Two coats ensures even coverage, richer color, and longer lifespan.
A single room takes 1–2 days. A typical 3-bedroom home takes 3–5 days. Larger homes with trim, doors, and ceilings included can take 5–7 days. We give you a clear timeline before we start and text you 30 minutes before arriving each morning.
We paint one section at a time so you’re never locked out of your whole home.
With proper prep and premium paint: 7–10 years on wood siding, 15–20 years on stucco, and 20+ years on brick. Gulf Coast humidity, salt air, and UV are brutal — which is why prep quality matters more than the paint itself.
We use Sherwin-Williams Duration & Emerald — specifically formulated for UV and mildew resistance.
Always. Power washing removes dirt, pollen, mold, salt deposits, and chalky paint residue. Paint applied over a dirty surface will peel within months. This is non-negotiable — it’s included in every exterior quote.
We allow 24–48 hours of dry time after washing before any paint goes on.
We scrape all loose paint, sand edges smooth, and caulk every gap. Minor wood rot is filled with epoxy filler. Major rot requires board replacement — we’ll identify this in your estimate so there are no surprises.
Painting over rot is throwing money away. We always fix the substrate first.
No. Paint needs 4+ hours of dry time above 50°F to cure properly. We monitor weather closely and won’t start if rain is expected within 24 hours. If weather delays your project, we come back the next viable day — we never leave your house half-done to go start someone else’s.
Our scheduling flexibility means weather delays rarely push projects more than a day or two.
Full power wash, scraping, sanding, caulking, priming bare/repaired areas, two coats of premium exterior paint on all surfaces: siding, trim, fascia, soffits, shutters, and doors. We also protect landscaping and clean up daily.
Ask about our color visualization — see your exterior in any color before we start.
Not if it’s done right. Cabinet paint fails when contractors use wall paint, skip bonding primer, or don’t allow proper cure time. We use Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane with Extreme Bonding Primer. All doors are sprayed off-site in a controlled environment for a glass-smooth, factory-like finish.
Our work is backed by a 2-year warranty covering peeling, adhesion failure, and chipping.
White and off-white are timeless and brighten kitchens. Navy blue is bold but classic. Sage green is trending. Charcoal hides wear well. Two-tone (white uppers, darker lowers) is extremely popular right now.
We spray samples on a test board for your approval before committing to the full kitchen.
Our standard kitchen takes 5 days. Day 1: remove and catalog all doors and hardware. Days 2–4: degrease, sand, prime, and spray two coats at our shop. Day 4: paint cabinet boxes on-site. Day 5: reinstall everything and do a final walkthrough.
Your kitchen stays 80% usable during the process — only the doors are gone.
Almost always yes. Professional cabinet painting costs $3,500–$6,500 compared to $15,000–$30,000+ for replacement. If you like the layout and the boxes are structurally sound, painting gives you a brand-new look at 70–85% savings.
Update your hardware at the same time for the biggest visual transformation.
Yes — we rescue DIY disasters every week. Wallpaper removal that tore drywall paper, popcorn scraping that gouged the ceiling, patch jobs that won’t blend — we’ve seen it all and fixed it all.
Text us photos and we’ll tell you exactly what’s involved — no charge for the assessment.
Yes, 95% of the time. We match orange peel, knockdown, skip trowel, and smooth Level 5 finishes daily. We create test samples on scrap drywall, let you approve the match, then apply to the full area.
We always do a test patch first so you can approve the match before we touch your walls.
Yes. We wet-scrape popcorn texture, skim coat the ceiling smooth, prime, and paint. A typical room takes 1–2 days. If there’s asbestos concern (homes built before 1980), we recommend testing first.
Removing popcorn ceiling is one of the highest-impact upgrades you can do for under $1,000.
During your consultation, we photograph your actual walls and use professional software to show realistic previews of any paint color in your space. Full-wall previews, your real lighting, instant results. No tiny paint chips. No guessing.
It’s included free with every estimate. Unlimited colors, zero pressure.
Not at all. Many clients come with no idea what they want — and that’s completely fine. We ask about your preferences, assess your space, consider your lighting, and guide you toward colors that work. Bring your Pinterest board if you have one.
We can match any color from any brand — you’re not locked into one manufacturer.
Yes. Paint Doctors LLC holds an Alabama business license and carries general liability insurance. We’re also BBB accredited with an A+ rating. If anything goes wrong on the job, our insurance covers it — not your homeowner’s policy.
Always ask any painter for proof of insurance before they start work on your home.
$0 deposit to schedule. 30% due the day we physically arrive and start. Remaining 70% due only after your final walkthrough and you’re 100% satisfied. We accept cash, check, credit card, Venmo, Cash App, and Apple Pay.
If something needs a touch-up at walkthrough, we handle it on the spot — not “we’ll come back.”
Every job comes with a 2-year warranty on materials and labor. If paint peels, bubbles, cracks, or fails due to our workmanship within 2 years, we come back and fix it at no charge. No arguments, no hoops.
The Sherwin-Williams product warranty is separate and may extend beyond our 2-year labor warranty.
